AWS Non-Management Account Access

0

Hey guys,

Extremely new to AWS. I've created within IAM Identity Centre a user account. I've also created a new, non-management account within the Org. I've then assigned the new user only to new non-management account with AdministratorAccess permissions. When the user then attempts to log into the account through the AWS console login page, they enter the Account ID of the new account, their IAM username and password and are presented with 'Your authentication information is incorrect. Please try again.' Strangely, if we change the Account ID to that of the Management Account (to which they are not assigned) they can log into this?

Positive this is something I am doing wrong but really appreciate any pointers.

Thank you.

Hello.

When signing in from the IAM Identity Center console, you do not use your AWS account ID.
If you sign in via IAM Identity Center, you will be provided with a specific URL that you must access through.
https://docs.aws.amazon.com/signin/latest/userguide/iam-id-center-sign-in-tutorial.html#iam-idc-user-sign-in-tutorial

In your browser window, paste in the sign-in URL that you were provided through email, such as https://your_subdomain.awsapps.com/start. Then, press Enter.
