Your AWS CloudShell data is scheduled for deletion on December 30, 2023

0

Total newbie here. I received a notification saying "Your AWS CloudShell data is scheduled for deletion on December 30, 2023." I checked the Affected Resources tab as the email suggested and it shows two roles: AWSServiceRoleForSupport and AWSServiceRoleForTrustedAdvisor. I have no idea if I need to do something or not. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hi,

Have a read at https://docs.aws.amazon.com/awssupport/latest/user/using-service-linked-roles-ta.html to get all details about those roles

I believe that you can forget those affected resources and let them as they are: the doc says that they are automatically managed by the account management features.

Best,

Didier

According to https://aws.amazon.com/cloudshell/faqs/

Q: How can I prevent my CloudShell storage from being deleted?

Sign in to the AWS Management Console and open CloudShell in the expiring Region. This will reset the time associated with your storage in the given Region.

So you may just need to resign to allow continuation of cloushell.
