Hi, I have my account suspended even though I pay my bill before the deadline. Is there any way to check with support team soon?

  • Is there any reason to suspend my account that not related to payment bill?

Hi,

I am sorry to hear that. I would recommend you checking the status of the invoices in the Billing and Cost Management console for any past due charges, as this could be the reason for the suspension. After payment, it typically takes up to 24 hours for your account to reactivate, otherwise reach out to AWS Support.

If the suspension is due to a different issue, AWS usually sends an email requesting additional information, so please take a look in your inbox and spam folders.

I understand your concern about your suspended AWS account, especially since you paid your bill before the deadline. This situation can be frustrating, but there are steps you can take to address it:

  1. First, check your email thoroughly, including spam folders, for any communications from AWS regarding your account status. There might be important information about the reason for the suspension.

  2. Open a support case with AWS under the "Account and billing" category. This type of support is available even for suspended accounts. In your case, clearly explain that you paid your bill before the deadline but your account is still suspended. Provide any relevant payment confirmation details or transaction IDs to help AWS verify your payment.

  3. While waiting for a response, ensure that all your contact information in the AWS account is up to date so that AWS can reach you if needed.

  4. Be patient but persistent. If you don't receive a response within a reasonable timeframe (e.g., 1-2 business days), consider updating your existing support case to request an update.

  5. Unfortunately, there isn't a way to immediately reactivate the account on your own. AWS Support needs to manually intervene in these cases. The reactivation process can sometimes take up to 24 hours or more, especially if there are complications or high support volumes.

  6. If you have an AWS Account Manager or are working with an AWS Partner, you could reach out to them for assistance. They may be able to help escalate the issue internally.

Continue to engage with AWS Support through the open case, as they are the primary channel for resolving this issue. While it's frustrating, persistence is key in getting this resolved. Keep in mind that account reactivation may take some time, especially if manual intervention is required.

Hi Jade,

Sorry to hear about the troubles with your account.

I'd recommenced reviewing your email for related notifications. Then if you have questions about the provided steps, you can relay them in your support case. You can access your support case, here: http://go.aws/support-center.

Thank you for your patience as our team works to help.
