When launching a new EC2 instance, I am not given a choice of an AZ - I need it to be in a specific AZ. How can I do that?

Whenever I try to launch a new instance, it always puts it into an AZ that I do not want. How can I specify a particular AZ for launching the new instance?

Hi,

When you set up an EC2 instance you can choose the subnet to deploy in. This subnet defines the AZ.

In the console, it will default to some subnet but you can choose another. See "Networking" config section for that.
