Issue launching EC2 free tier instance

I am attempting to launch an EC2 instance of Ubuntu on the free tier in US East (Ohio) However, when attempting to do so, I get this error Instance launch failed This account is currently blocked and not recognized as a valid account. Please contact aws-verification@amazon.com if you have questions.

Hi,

just follow the instruction as you mentioned. I have heardt that that verification team May take some time before answering, so I would also try to contact Support to speed things up.
