Will the described IoT endpoints change?

Question

When we describe an IoT endpoint for a specific region using the AWS CLI - e.g. for the iot:CredentialProvider and region eu-west-1 - will this IoT endpoint change in future? Or does this endpoint remain stable forever?

Hi,

Thanks for the question! The returned value for calls to [DescribeEndpoint](https://docs.aws.amazon.com/iot/latest/apireference/API_DescribeEndpoint.html) are stable once created/described. It is expected that these endpoints will be used devices with long lifecycles, hence the long-term stability of the FQDN. This holds true for the various endpoints (data plane, jobs, credential provider, etc.).
