Minimum vibration frequency Monitron can detect

0

Hi,

What is the minimum vibration level that the Monitron service can detect? I see on the datasheet that the accelerators have a frequency response up to 6kHz: I assume that means that the sensitivity of the accelerometers stays flat up to 6kHz. What about the lower boundary? What is the minimum frequency the sensors can detect reliably?

Thanks!

There are several vibration frequency levels to consider:

  • From 10 to 1000 Hz: the Monitron service currently monitors the overall vibration in this frequency range
  • Higher frequencies ranging from 1000 Hz to 6000 Hz: the vibration sensor embedded in the Monitron pack has a maximum frequency of 6 kHz: further measurement features are still to be developed utilizing this high frequency range
  • Lower frequency from lower than 10 Hz: this kind of range is usually measured as displacement and this is not taken into account at this stage
