I ask you a question about pre-payment.

I'd like to use AWS service in advance.

  1. How can I pay in advance? There is an option called 'Advanced Pay' in the manual, but I don't know where the billing console is.
  • The first attached photo is related to the manual.Enter image description here

  • The second picture attached is the billing console I am looking at.Enter image description here

  1. Is the pre-payment method a method of using as much as the pre-payment and additional payment is made for the additional part of the service? Or is the service suspended if I use all the pre-paid ones? If possible, I would like to use the latter method, is it possible?

Hi There

Per https://docs.aws.amazon.com/awsaccountbilling/latest/aboutv2/manage-advancepay.html

Advance pay is in public preview for AWS Billing and Cost Management and is subject to change. This feature is available for a select group of customers.

As for your question about what happens after the funds are depleted, it is likely that the services will continue to run as normal and you will still be responsible for the charges.

  • Hello. Thank you for your answer. It helped me a lot in the progress of the AWS research project at the university.

However, I have additional questions after seeing your answer.

I think the current pre-payment method only applies to some groups, but is there any way I can use AWS service as a pre-payment method? I don't understand it intuitively when I saw the guide. Please answer me!
