Hosting Location Near to Pakistan

0

hello! My website which targets Pakistani audience is hosted on AWS LightSail. As of now, I am using Mumbai's instance location. However, I am doubtful whether I should host it in Mumbai or any other location near to Pakistan such as Qatar? My website address is priceupdate.com.pk. On the side note, I am managing my DNS too on LightSail.

Hello,

For hosting your website targeting a Pakistani audience, the Mumbai region in AWS Lightsail is closer to Pakistan than the Qatar region. Therefore, selecting Mumbai for your Lightsail instance can optimize performance and reduce latency for users in Pakistan. Additionally, consider implementing a Content Delivery Network (CDN) like Lightsail Distribution or Amazon CloudFront to further enhance speed and responsiveness for your Pakistani audience.

For setting up a CDN, refer to these resources:

Hello.

Lightsail is available in the regions listed in the documentation below.
Therefore, when using Lightsail, there should be no problem if you select the Mumbai region.

  • US East (Ohio) (us-east-2)
  • US East (N. Virginia) (us-east-1)
  • US West (Oregon) (us-west-2)
  • Asia Pacific (Mumbai) (ap-south-1)
  • Asia Pacific (Seoul) (ap-northeast-2)
  • Asia Pacific (Singapore) (ap-southeast-1)
  • Asia Pacific (Sydney) (ap-southeast-2)
  • Asia Pacific (Tokyo) (ap-northeast-1)
  • Canada (Central) (ca-central-1)
  • EU (Frankfurt) (eu-central-1)
  • EU (Ireland) (eu-west-1)
  • EU (London) (eu-west-2)
  • EU (Paris) (eu-west-3)
  • EU (Stockholm) (eu-north-1)

If you are concerned about latency, I think it would be a good idea to set up a CDN such as Lightsail distribution or CloudFront to cache static files such as HTML.
