Unable to login to root account

0

Hi all,

I have an urgent problem. I'm unable to login to my AWS root account. I have changed the registered email previously and even received a confirmation email in the newly registered email. However, when i try to login to the root account, it says "Password reset is required" and the email was sent to the old email. Now i'm unable to access my AWS root account. Please help. I'm unable to access the old email mailbox.

I am assuming you can't access the console to contact support. Please use this form to reach out to AWS Support to sort this issue out. https://support.aws.amazon.com/#/contacts/aws-account-support/

There is no easy way to recover the root account unless you have access to the original email address unfortunately. You would need to try and follow the steps listed here to see if you can somehow regain access to the email address. https://docs.aws.amazon.com/signin/latest/userguide/troubleshoot-lost-email.html

Out side of that you would need to open a case with support to see if they could assist further. https://support.aws.amazon.com/#/contacts/aws-account-support/
