Unable to delete cloudFront distribution despite being the ROOT user

0

I am currently in contact with support and have a support case open regarding some suspicious activity that happened on my account. The service team had a look into my case and they noticed unauthorized activity as well.

After checking the account, they noticed there are two CloudFront Distributions enabled on my account.

I was asked to delete/disable the CloudFront distribution in order to proceed with the case investigation. I was able to disable one but I am having issues with the other. Whenever I try to disable it I am met with the following error:

Failed: Access Denied.

This is odd as I am the ROOT user.

Support tried to send over some links they thought might be useful but I am still confused as to how to delete/disable this distribution.

Any insight is appreciated.
