Currently, AWS Glue does not provide a direct feature to clone or copy an entire workflow in the same way that you can clone individual ETL jobs.
For ETL jobs in AWS Glue Studio, you can clone a job by:
- Selecting the job from the "Your jobs" list
- Choosing "Clone job" from the Actions menu
- Entering a name for the new job
However, for workflows, you would need to create a new workflow manually and recreate the components:
- Sign in to the AWS Management Console and open the AWS Glue console
- Navigate to the ETL section and choose "Workflows"
- Select "Add workflow" and complete the form
- Add the same triggers, jobs, and crawlers as in your original workflow
Alternatively, if your workflow was created from a blueprint, you could create another workflow using the same blueprint and parameters.
While the AWS CLI does have a create-workflow command, it doesn't have a specific clone functionality for workflows. You would need to use the API or CLI to create a new workflow and then programmatically add all the components from your existing workflow.
If this functionality is important to you, consider submitting feedback through the AWS Management Console's feedback option (typically found at the bottom left of the console screen).
