Hi All,

Hope you're doing well.

Did you know how to find/identify or calculate the monthly average cost for each bill-id in the cost explorer graph?

I really appreciate for your fast response.

To calculate the monthly average cost for each bill-id in the Cost Explorer graph, you can follow these steps:

  1. Ensure that your resources are tagged with a key like bill_id and appropriate values that represent different billing identifiers.

  2. In the AWS Billing and Cost Management console, go to the Cost Allocation Tags section and activate the tags you want to use in Cost Explorer.

  3. In Cost Explorer, set the time period for your analysis.

  4. Choose Group by and select the tag key that you used for billing identifiers (e.g., bill_id). This will group your costs based on the values of this tag.

  5. Like before, you can view the data in the graph or export it to calculate the monthly average cost for each billing identifier.
