openSearch cannot be deleted as it stuck in "Being Deleted"

We have an ElasticSearch domain that has been stuck in "Being Deleted" status for several months ago. How can we get this instance fully deleted? Any help on this please.

This is something AWS would be able to help with via a support case. If you don't have support consider adding just developer support for a month to submit a tech support case to have the cluster deleted.
