User not able to receive emails through SES (Simple Email Service)

We have a user, who can not receive email from our application sent through SES. Everybody else using the same domain can.
Sending a test email from the application to SES results in success.
Sending a test email from SES to the user results in success.

Anybody has a clue, what is happening?
