- Kindly elaborate the issue that you’re encountering.
I see that you’ve mentioned that only in some cases the instances are stopped and clusters are terminated. Is any action taken from your end post which you observe this behaviour, please confirm ?

When some of my students set up a cluster on Amazon Elastic MapReduce (EMR), the process automatically launches instances based on the specifications they chose during the cluster creation. The challenge arises when they try to stop these instances to control costs. Instead of halting, the instances end up being terminated, leading to the unexpected shutdown of the entire cluster.
