The screen on the right is how the console looks normally. That’s a SSM session.

The access denied is down to you not having accesss. I see you’re using an AWS lab in your screen shot. Instance connect requires you have port 22 directly accessible. I think the access design is by design for this exercise.

The screen on the right looks correct. I don’t believe you have any issues.

  • if the screen on right is correct means can i type the code?

  • On the right screen you can just type. It’s a console session.

  • Are you able to enter commands in the session?

  • yes sir i am able to enter the commands

  • Perfect. All good then?

Have you followed the documentation to grant proper permission for EC2 Instance Connect access? https://docs.aws.amazon.com/AWSEC2/latest/UserGuide/ec2-instance-connect-configure-IAM-role.html
