hsm2m.medium CloudHSM is not available in United States (N.California) us-west-1 region

As of today, the hsm2m.medium CloudHSM instance type is not available in the United States (N. California) us-west-1 region. Automatic migration to this new cluster type is scheduled to begin in June 2025, with no option to opt out or select a preferred time.

For our organization, automatic migration is not acceptable due to the operational disruption it would cause. We require a scheduled maintenance window to ensure a controlled transition. The only available alternative - customer-initiated migration - is currently unavailable, preventing us from even evaluating or preparing for it.

Furthermore, we cannot restore a backup from hsm1.medium to hsm2m.medium, as the latter is not enabled in our region.

Therefore, my question is: Will hsm2m.medium become available in the aforementioned region by this Friday, May 23rd?

If not, we will need to develop an alternate plan or consider relocating our operations to another region.
