Secrets Manager lambda call get_secret_value couldn't connect to endpoint URL

Question

Endpointconnectionerror while retrieving secret using Lambda function.

When tried to access using the endpoint URL directly via web browser, got ""
(https://docs.aws.amazon.com/general/latest/gr/asm.html)

Checked AWS service health dashboard - no services are down as of now.

Is the Lambda VPC enabled? If yes, have you created a VPC endpoint for Secrets Manager in the VPC - https://docs.aws.amazon.com/secretsmanager/latest/userguide/vpc-endpoint-overview.html

If you haven't enabled a VPC endpoint, is there a NAT Gateway configured on the VPC?
