QuickSight: individual access/dashboards based on a randomly selected ID

0

Hi,

Context: we are planning to use QuickSight to provide an anonymous comparison of company KPIs for a specifi industry. We plan to use a website where companies can provide their specific business KPIs and then in return receive information on where they rank against the other submissions.

Challenge: This needs to be anonymous. So we would ask companies to use a 6-digit ID instead of their company name when they submit their data.

Planned journey:

  • Companies receive an invitation if they want to participate
  • If they are opt-in they will receive a link to submit their data via a form submission (using an ID the company can randomly pick)
  • Data will be collected in an S3 bucket and translated into an csv file
  • csv file will be added to the QuickSight dashboard
  • Companies then receive a link where they can provide their unique ID (as they submitted initially) and then receive their individual QuickSight dashboard with comparison metrics

Question: Can we somehow use the IDs that the companies submitted to create one individual dashboard per ID (with ranking and comparison metrics) and let companies only digest their individual rank? Would we need to create QuickSight Users for this? Or could this be solved via portal where they can simple input the ID and then be directed to their dashboard?

Many thanks, Axel
