High latency problems between my Internet operator in Brazil Algar Telecom and AWS

Dear AWS Support Team,

We have been experiencing significant latency issues with our connections to AWS for over 30 days. We use the operator Algar Telecom, which carried out several checks and informed us that there are no problems with their network.

This high latency is causing considerable damage to our business, as we use a sales application hosted on AWS that is extremely sensitive to network variations. The continuation of this issue is affecting our ability to operate efficiently and is having a negative impact on our performance and customer satisfaction.

Below is the Operator's network information: Algar ASN: 16735 Traffic points to forward to AWS: São Paulo: SP4 Peers 99.83.69.25 and 99.83.92.79 Fortaleza: Globenet through PNI

We urgently request your help to identify and resolve this issue. We need to understand if there are any configuration issues or any other factors within the AWS infrastructure that could be contributing to this latency.

re:Post is not a support forum - we can offer advice but from here but it is best-effort only. Given that this is a production issue please open a support case to get assistance from our support team.

However, note that we have no control over third party networks. If you are experiencing latency with someone else's network then you should definitely talk to them as well as raising a ticket with AWS.
