To publish a dashboard in Amazon Connect and make it available to specific users, you need to follow these steps:

  1. First, publish your report by toggling the "Publish report" option to "On" in the "Share report" dialog box and save the changes. This makes the report accessible to everyone in your organization who has the appropriate permissions.

  2. For users to view published dashboards, they need specific permissions in their security profile:

  • Saved reports - View: This is the minimum permission required for all users to view published dashboards.

  • For real-time or historical metrics reports, users also need the Access metrics permission.

  • For login/logout reports, users need the View Login/Logout report permission.

  1. For supervisors or managers who need to view published dashboards in the agent workspace, assign them:
  • Saved reports - View permission, and

  • Either Dashboards - Access (grants access only to the Dashboards tab) OR Access metrics - Access (grants access to all tabs on the Dashboards page)

  1. If you want to control which supervisors or managers can access data about specific agents, you can implement hierarchy-based access control:
  • Enable hierarchy-based access control in the security profile under Resources > Users

  • Choose between Assigned user hierarchy or Custom user hierarchy

  • Assign the necessary permissions for accessing dashboards and reports

  • Grant access to resources such as users, routing profiles, and queues

By properly configuring these permissions, you can ensure that only specific users with the appropriate permissions can view your published dashboards.

Tagging a dashboard is not yet supported. At this time, you can only publish a dashboard, and everyone who has permissions to view the dashboard would be able to access it.
