Would a Multi az enabled database cost twice as much to use extended support?

0

We've got notified that RDS Postgres 11 will reached the end of standard support and it'll be moved to extended support automatically. Our productive environment has Multi AZ enable, so in order to calculate the total price of RDS extended support, Do we have to keep in mind the vCPU of the multi az instance ?

i.e: Our main instance has 8 vCpu. So, the total cost of extended support is calculated using only 8 vCPU or 16 vCPU (including multi az vCPUs)?

Thanks

Yes, RDS Extended Support charges apply to all instances running a version that's covered under Extended Support. This includes all replicas (in-region and cross-region) as well as standby instances in Multi-AZ and Multi-AZ DB cluster configurations.
