Email still marked as bounced on Amazon SES

0

We use Amazon SES to send weekly newsletter to all of our employees email address. One of the employee left the company but we did not remove this person email address from the newsletter mailing list and it bounced. The employee returned back to the company several months later and the employee was assigned with same email as before.

I removed the bounce tag off the mailing list that we use to send out the newsletter and I also went to the suppression removal list on Amazon and entered the email address to remove the email but Amazon is still marking it as bounce on each test we tried to send it out.

Is there a way for us to see the suppression list to verify that our employee email address is not on it and why is Amazon still marking it bounce after we submitted the email address to be removed from the suppression list?

I had to enable the new console to be able to see the new account suppression list which fixes my issue I was having.

Did you review both the global suppression list and the account-level suppression list? see https://docs.aws.amazon.com/ses/latest/dg/lists-and-subscriptions.html.

  • I read the document again and now I am able to find the suppression list to be able to take the that email off the list. What I missed was that I had to set the console to the new console then the suppression list option became available for me to use.
