I can not get approved for OTP services. Please Help?!?

I am trying to sign up for amazon OTP service (one time passcode) sent to a new users who register in our website and have to verify their phone number by getting a unique code sent from AWS. I started Registration with US_TEN_DLC_CAMPAIGN_REGISTRATION Although they ask such information as the one related to Business to User advertising, continuous messaging, which I don't need. As such, I've been dealing for weeks with them asking to include information in our sms message samples that we will not violate their rights by messaging to them and all kind of notices in the sms. Do you know by a chance if I am in the right path to get to OTP subscription from AWS and if there are instructions to follow to get it approved quickly?

Thank you all for your contribution!

It seems you may be encountering some confusion in the process of setting up OTP (One-Time Password) services with AWS. For OTP functionality, you typically don't need to go through the full US_TEN_DLC_CAMPAIGN_REGISTRATION process, which is more suited for broader SMS marketing campaigns.

For OTP services, you should be looking at AWS End User Messaging SMS, specifically within the SMS sandbox environment to start. Here's a simplified process you should follow:

  1. Set up an AWS End User Messaging account.
  2. Create a phone pool and a default configuration set.
  3. Register your brand (this usually takes less than a day).
  4. Register a campaign (also typically takes less than a day).
  5. Request an originating ID using your registered brand and campaign (this may take a few days).
  6. Once you have the originating ID, you can send a test message to verify a new number.
  7. This will deliver a verification code to the phone being validated.
  8. After clearing this challenge, you'll be able to use the originating ID to send test messages to verified numbers.

It's important to note that while in the sandbox environment, you can only send SMS messages to phone numbers that have been verified through this process. This is a security measure implemented by AWS.

If you're still facing issues after following these steps, it may be worth contacting AWS Support for more specific guidance based on your account and use case. They can provide detailed instructions and help resolve any remaining obstacles in your OTP setup process.

Remember, the goal here is to set up a system for sending one-time passwords, not to create a marketing campaign, so the requirements and process are different from what you've been working on.
