Hello there,
Please note that as per below MSK documentation : [+] Amazon MSK version support - Amazon MSK version support policy - https://docs.aws.amazon.com/msk/latest/developerguide/version-support.html#version-support-policy
A cluster that is using a Kafka version after its end of support date, is auto-upgraded to the recommended Kafka version (https://tiny.amazon.com/17ndzro0l/docsawsamazmsklatedevevers). Currently the recommended Kafka version is 3.5.1 (https://tiny.amazon.com/1a36nij6a/docsawsamazmsklatedevesupp)
It is also worth noting that MSK will phase out support for newly created clusters that use Kafka versions with published end of support dates.
For any further information on Supported Apache Kafka versions , kindly follow the below documentation : [+]https://docs.aws.amazon.com/msk/latest/developerguide/supported-kafka-versions.html
I hope the above information helps. Thanks!
Thanks for replying! I can not access auto-upgraded link. Seems it belongs to Amazon internal. Just want to confirm that when and how will the auto-upgrade happen? This will definitely impact live services. So we want to know more details and decide whether handle it urgently before that by ourselves.
