My Desktop is empty

I need help.

All the icons and apps that were on my desktop on the server are gone, and now the screen is dark and I can't access any kind of settings to try to solve this problem.

How do I restore the system so I can have access to my information again?

If this is an EC2 instance running Windows, [you can force a reboot through the AWS console](https://docs.aws.amazon.com/AWSEC2/latest/UserGuide/ec2-instance-reboot.html).

If this is an Amazon Workspaces instance, from the Workspaces Client, you can initiate a reboot by clicking "Amazon WorkSpaces" and choose "Restart Workspace". If that doesn't work, you can [force a reboot from the AWS console](https://docs.aws.amazon.com/workspaces/latest/adminguide/reboot-workspaces.html)
