Connect - Dialling emergency services (999) in UK

I've been informed by a colleague that Connect is unable to dial emergency services (999) in the UK, but the most recent information I can find on this is a question here that dates back to Dec 2023, and there's nothing obvious to me in the documentation that covers this.

Is this restriction still in place, and if so are there any plans to lift it?

Currently, that is still the case for outside of US. You can keep track this as they update the Service Terms link here, https://aws.amazon.com/service-terms/

Specifically for Amazon Connect Emergency Calling is in 54.2, and for outside of US, it is specified in 54.2.1 that it is currently not supported

    Hi Clarence,

    Thank you for the response and information. It's disappointing that this restriction is still in place for UK operations, it may cause some problems with a contract I am working on. I think I'll raise it with our account manager, though I doubt much will come of it.
