WorkDocs drive client prompts for security key pin instead of user/password

When I try to install the WorkDocs drive client (v. 1.0.10972.0) on a new Windows 11 machine, it prompts for an email address and security key pin instead of a username and password for authentication. MFA is not turned on for this account and we do not use any keys. Other devices (Windows 10) with a slightly older version of the client (1.0.10802.0) prompt for user and password and the user is successfully authenticated. How can I get a successful login on this new device?
