Cognito IDP phone_number to Google PhoneNumbers scope and mapping

Cognito is unable to pull through the correct phone_number from the authorized google API phoneNumbers scope despite the mapping option being in the configuration. This scope and permission is correctly set up in the Google Credential Side but cognito seems to be unable to map it. Does anyone know the correct mapping from Google to Cognito?
