Corretto17 Runtime Availability (Lambda and CodeBuild)

Question

I would like to start running my workloads on the Corretto17 runtime but the latest runtime available is `corretto11` in CodeBuild and `java11` in Lambda.

I'm looking at the following locations for updates:

* [CodeBuild runtimes](https://docs.aws.amazon.com/codebuild/latest/userguide/runtime-versions.html)

When can we expect an update to `corretto17` and `java17`?  Where should we look to get notified?

Answer

I am not an AWS Employee so I have no idea on ETA, not that AWS is in the habbit of giving any hint on ETA anyway.
For Lambda, I do not know, but for codebuild I have this [PR](https://github.com/aws/aws-codebuild-docker-images/pull/495) which I suppose is simply pending merge and newer image release ? So ... it's coming. (I do need to open another one for ARM based images though).
