To get an invoice for your S3 bucket usage that includes your company's GST number, you need to ensure your tax settings are properly configured and then access the correct tax invoice document. Here's how to do it:
- First, verify that your GST number is correctly set up:
- Sign in to the AWS Management Console
- Open the AWS Billing and Cost Management console
- Navigate to the Tax Settings page
- Make sure your GST number is correctly entered under "Manage Tax Registration Numbers"
- If you need to edit multiple GST numbers, select "Edit all" under this section
- To view and download the proper tax invoice with your GST number:
- In the AWS Billing and Cost Management console, navigate to "Bills"
- Scroll down and select the "Invoices" tab
- Look for the "Tax invoices" section
- Choose an invoice link that is listed under "Document ID"
This should provide you with the tax invoice that includes your GST number. The tax invoice is separate from the standard billing invoice, which might explain why you're not seeing your GST number on the document you've been downloading.
If you've followed these steps and still don't see your GST number on the tax invoice, you should contact AWS Support by creating a Billing support case. Select "Account and billing" as the Type, "Billing" as the Service, and "Invoices and Reports" as the Category. The AWS billing support team can assist you with ensuring your GST number appears correctly on your invoices.
