Appstream 2.0 accessing on-prem file shares

Just wondering if customers can build an Appstream fleet that connects back to file shares at customer's data center?

Yes. My customer does this with a large fleet of AppStream users (several thousand users).

AppStream instances have an ENI inside the customer's VPC. You can use a Direct Connect to access the on-prem file share and then (optionally) use GPOs to mount it in Windows when a user logs in.
