No of prefix on DX

0

Dear Team - As per https://docs.aws.amazon.com/directconnect/latest/UserGuide/limits.html,

1- Routes per Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) session on a private virtual interface or transit virtual interface from on-premises to AWS - 100

2 - Number of prefixes from on-premises to AWS on a transit virtual interface - 100

Is it correct understanding that, later (Number of prefixes from on-premises to AWS on a transit virtual interface) limit is already covered in 1st one ? or both are diff technically ?

Your understanding is correct, number of prefixes from on-premises to AWS on a transit virtual interface is the same as the first one, hence the total limit is 100 prefixes.

  • thanks...i think, AWS should remove duplicate line "2 - Number of prefixes from on-premises to AWS on a transit virtual interface - 100" from quota page as it may create confusion
