Filename length when saving documents to WorkDocs

0

Hello,

When trying to upload from my MacBook a fairly large Powerpoint document (20Mb) to Workdocs directory, using either drag and drop or the upload button I receive a generic error Message 'Your file xxxx.pptx didn't upload successfully. Please try again.' : trying various things I finally shortened the filename length and was able to upload the document.

I tried a word doc with the same name but could not reproduce the problem.

Then I tried to copy the powerpoint file name to the word document locally and then get an error message from the macOS finder ' The name xxxx can't be used Try using a name with fewer characters or with no punctuation marks.

I have kept the file in its original form which reproduces the problem for troubleshooting purposes! Feel free to let me know if more info is needed. Best regards! PA

Hi,

I understand you are having problems with the WorkDocs file naming requirements , please consult the attached document[1] for naming limitations to files or folders you intend to upload on your Amazon WorkDocs to avoid several mistakes when naming.

Thank you for your efforts on how to reproduce the issue.

I hope this helps
