Create VPC - Workflow build failing - AllocateAddress

0

Hi,

After many attempts to use the new create vpc tool that builds the VPC, subnets, gateways, etc. I keep getting to the point where it is allocating IP's and it fails. I have full admin permissions, have checked that I can allocate elastic IP's and we have plenty of quota left. I checked the cloud trail logs and see:

"eventTime": "2022-03-02T21:13:57Z", "eventSource": "ec2.amazonaws.com", "eventName": "AllocateAddress", "awsRegion": "us-east-1", "sourceIPAddress": "AWS Internal", "userAgent": "AWS Internal", "errorCode": "Server.InternalError", "errorMessage": "An internal error has occurred", "requestParameters": { "tagSpecificationSet": { "items": [ { "resourceType": "elastic-ip", "tags": [

Thank you!

Given that it says "An internal error has occurred" I'd suggest that creating a support case is the right step here. There's a lot more information required to troubleshoot this - things like IAM permissions, VPC setup, subnet allocations, etc. and the support team have better visibility of your VPC configuration to help.
