Being billed for CloudWatch alerts (Free Tier), but cannot find any alerts to investigate further

0

Hi - I'm new to AWS and having a play around with the Free Tier to get a feel for things. So far I have setup MFA through the IAM Console, created some tables/entered data in them in DynamoDB, looked around a bit at some other things, but not configured anything else that I recall. Despite this, I have apparently exceeded the 10 free alarms in CloudWatch, but cannot find anything to display the individual alarms, or indicate what is causing the alarms, so that I can investigate further. No alerts, logs, or anomalies are showing across the entire time I've had the account (no errors, just no results).

After much searching online, I cannot seem to find the answer - how do see these alerts, and find out what is triggering them?

Hello.

How about searching for alarms, etc. using the steps in "Confirm you have terminated all active resources" in the document below?
You can search for CloudWatch Alarm by selecting "AWS::CloudWatch::Alarm" in "Resource Type".
By selecting "All Region", all regions will be searched.

  • Thank you - I hadn’t noticed I was in a different region, and so using “all regions” allowed me to find them.
