Can you confirm whether or not it will be before the end of life of serverless v1 data api? Seems like a disaster for those using it if its not before the end of that (approx 7 months from now)
Hi,
Thanks for reaching here. I have searched internally that there is an existing feature request for the same. Data API for serverless v2. It is just that we do not have ETA when this feature will be announced. Please stay updated through:

Any update on this, please, it's been 4 months...
Can we get an update on this please? This was 8 months ago.
Come on, AWS! It's been over a year now...
Any idea why this is only for the Postgres version and not MySQL?
We need Data API for V2 ASAP. We'd like to migrate our systems to V2, but that will require doing whole bunch of things, including moving some resources like lambdas to VPCs to have access to RDS Proxy, that increases costs and slows downs our services. Please, add Data API option we to focus on business logic, not on maintaining that architecture. Thanks.
Here too Data API for Serverless V2 is needed. Currently we can't move to V2
Been released: https://aws.amazon.com/blogs/database/introducing-the-data-api-for-amazon-aurora-serverless-v2-and-amazon-aurora-provisioned-clusters/
"Although the Data API for Aurora Serverless v2 and Aurora provisioned has been initially launched on Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL-Compatible Edition, support for Amazon Aurora MySQL-Compatible Edition will soon follow." Is there any guide as to when the MySQL version will be out?
We are also directly impacted by this - as it is on the verge of effecting the terms of service with our clients (due to MySQL 5.7). If v2+ Data API isn't going to be available then we could use an alternative architectural path. As of this moment though the AppSync wizard is making MORE integrated databases that can never be upgraded, using the CREATE API wizard in Console. This should be unacceptable for clients and AWS alike.
The documentation from the email is confusing me.
Is it possible to continue running "Amazon Aurora Serverless version 1" while updgrading from "Amazon Aurora MySQL v1" to "Amazon Aurora MySQL v2"?
Ie. If i upgrade from mysql 5.6 to 5.7 while on serverless, do I continue to be able to use the RDS data api?
Also looking for a long term solution for secure RDS access without having to put everything in a VPC.
