Hi, this is a known issue with the new Bedrock Marketplace subscription process, especially when switching between Claude models. Your payment profiles are valid, but the subscription gets stuck in a loop with INVALID_PAYMENT_INSTRUMENT loop. Since you've already opened two cases, reply on both and ask for escalation to the Bedrock Marketplace team. This usually gets fixed only after escalation. I understand you're experiencing a frustrating issue with model subscriptions in Amazon Bedrock. While I don't have specific information about the INVALID_PAYMENT_INSTRUMENT error or subscription loops you're describing, I can suggest some troubleshooting steps based on general Bedrock managed entitlements issues.
For billing-related problems that prevent model usage, you should verify that your management account has a valid payment method configured. Even if your Marketplace payment profiles appear valid, there may be an underlying issue with how the payment instrument is being processed for Bedrock subscriptions specifically.
Since you've already opened support cases, I recommend escalating through the following channels:
-
Check the AWS Service Health Dashboard to see if there are any ongoing issues with Marketplace or Bedrock services that might be affecting subscriptions
-
Review your AWS CloudTrail logs - Search for events related to Marketplace and Bedrock, looking specifically for error messages or failed API calls that might provide more detail about the INVALID_PAYMENT_INSTRUMENT error
-
Continue following up with AWS Support on your existing cases, emphasizing that this is blocking your production environment. Request escalation if you haven't received timely responses
The pattern you're describing - where subscriptions appear to succeed initially but then expire shortly after - suggests there may be an issue with the payment validation process rather than your actual payment methods. This would require AWS Support to investigate the backend subscription and billing processes for your specific account.
Given that this is production-impacting, continue to emphasize the urgency with your support cases and Account Manager.
