When will Elastic Disaster Recover Service (RDS) be available for the GovCloud regions? AWS articles provide conflicting information.

This page says that the service will not be available in AWS GovCloud even after 31 March 2024: https://aws.amazon.com/disaster-recovery/when-to-choose-aws-drs/?cloud-endure-blogs.sort-by=item.additionalFields.createdDate&cloud-endure-blogs.sort-order=desc

This page implies that the service will be available in the GovCloud region no later than 31 March 2024 and perhaps earlier: https://aws.amazon.com/disaster-recovery/faqs/

I can confirm that the service is not currently available in the GovCloud region.

Which article is correct? Or, more exactly, when will the service be available in the GovCloud regions?

Hello Bruce,

Hope you're doing well!

GovCloud is currently on the roadmap to get support for the Elastic Disaster Recover Service (DRS). Although, we don't have an ETA on the launch, it would be announced soon on https://aws.amazon.com/new/

Kindly note that we'll continue supporting CloudEndure Disaster Recovery (CEDR) in the region until DRS is available.

Thanks, shubh-AWS
