AWS Backup availability in Calgary region (canada-west-1)

Currently, AWS Backup is not available in the Calgary region which makes deployment of production EC2 instances problematic. Is there any indication as to when AWS Backup might become available in canada-west-1?

At present, we don't have a specific time we can share but please keep a look in aws whats new section for more details. Also you can explore Using AMIs or Amazon EBS snapshots for backups
