env stuck on "creating", MWAA support tool found IGW networking error "A public IP... is required at source"

0

Hi and thanks in advance,

My Issue

I am trying to create an MWAA environment. The environment is stuck on "creating" status. when running verify_env.py support tool one networking step is failing: "igwDestination".

the error is: "A public IP or Elastic IP is required at source to connect to a public destination"

My environment

I set up a public environment, consists of:

  • An s3 bucket
  • 2 private subnets, connected to a NAT gateway (the NAT GW has an elastic IP)
  • 2 public subnets, connected to an internet gateway

Initially, I thought the solution would be to add an elastic IP to the internet gateway, but I couldn't find a way to do so (nor a resource that says it's even possible).

Help is much appreciated!

SOVLED by letting MWAA create wizard creating a role and a security group instead of using an existing one
