Still problems with AWS North Virginia?

Yesterday 6/13/2023 the North Virginia site was down. Today I am trying to create a simple ECS service in a cluster using EC2, and it is taking forever. I have given up twice after an hour and I am seeing the same issue again. It's been 42 minutes and it has still not been created. It says it will take a few minutes. Really?

Beyond the very high level reports in the CloudFormation terminal, there is no logging to view to try an understand WHY it is taking so long. Anyone have a clue?

No, I don't see any degradation. After your post, I created ECS cluster(EC2) and got provisioned successfully in IAD. There is nothing I see on Personal Health Dashboard.

    Then there must be something wrong in my setup and AWS simply does not provide any help, logging, or other information when something is not right. It just goes on spinning. It remains a mystery. I was considering trying another region.

    It was helpful to know that the issues that were plaguing AWS the day before was not happening. Don't know why it spins forever though.
