Migrate from Self-Managed RabbitMQ to AmazonMQ

0

Hello team, IHAC who wants to migrate their self-managed RabbitMQ solution to a fully-managed solution. Today, they use plugins MQTT and AMPQ to support these two protocols. I was checking and the only solution who support both protocols is AmazonMQ for ActiveMQ. I would like to know if the customer needs to refactor their application to move from RabbitMQ to ActiveMQ. I saw that there is a PFR to support MQTT with AmazonMQ for RabbitMQ, but it still in Reviewed - On-Roadmap, but not I need to an estimate to become GA.

Hello,

There are already solutions to connect via MQTT to AmazonMQ: see https://aws.amazon.com/blogs/compute/deploy-and-publish-to-an-amazon-mq-broker-using-aws-serverless/

Re. migration itself, you may also want to look at this blog: https://aws.amazon.com/blogs/compute/migrating-from-rabbitmq-to-amazon-mq/

Best,

Didier
