My AWS Console account created with gaurao7793@gmail.com is suspended by AWS as it was not active for more than 90 days. Can I use same email id to schedule AWS exam as it is my Primary email? Will it cause any issue while attempting the exam which might need access to AWS console?

Hello.

The account used for the AWS exam and the authentication for the AWS account are different, so you can still reserve the AWS exam even if your AWS account becomes unavailable.
AWS certifications etc. are managed by something called Builder ID.
https://docs.aws.amazon.com/signin/latest/userguide/sign-in-aws_builder_id.html

AWS Builder ID represents you as an individual and is independent from any credentials and data you may have in existing AWS accounts. Like other personal profiles, AWS Builder ID remains with you as you progress through your personal, educational, and career goals.

Additionally, test reservations and other matters are handled through Pearson VUE, so there is no problem even if your AWS account becomes unusable.

  • Does this mean, I will be able to attempt the questions for which it requires access to aws console? for example writing and hosting lambda code asked in questions in develper or architect level exams ?

  • I don't think there will be any questions about operating the AWS console in certification exams such as "AWS Developer - Associate". Even if such a question were to come up, I believe that a virtual environment would be prepared specifically for the certification exam, so I don't think it would be necessary to access a personal AWS account. https://d1.awsstatic.com/training-and-certification/docs-dev-associate/AWS-Certified-Developer-Associate_Exam-Guide.pdf

Multiple choice: Has one correct response and three incorrect responses (distractors)
Multiple response: Has two or more correct responses out of five or more response options

  • Got it. Thanks Riku.
