Where did my brand-new Cloud9 environment go? There are none listed for my users.

I just created my first Cloud9 environment on the 26th, under an IAM user I created for that purpose. It was working fine for a few days, but now I found that when I log in -- under either my root user or the IAM user -- and go to Cloud9, no environments are listed. It does give me the option to create one. Is this a known problem? Is my environment hiding somewhere and I'm just missing it?

It could just be that you are in the wrong region on the AWS console. Can you confirm that the region is correctly selected? If yes, then are you the only one that has admin access to this AWS account? Is it possible that another administrator has deleted your Cloud9 environment? Check the EC2 console as well to make sure you can see the EC2 machine attached to the Cloud9 environment.

  • Yes, I was in a different region from before -- I created the environment in N. Virginia but when I logged on today it was the Ohio region. I guess it was a difference in ISPs perhaps.

Click on "Account environments" in the left menu if you are not logged in as the user of the cloud9 environment.
