Hello.
You should have received a $100 credit when you created your new AWS account.
https://docs.aws.amazon.com/awsaccountbilling/latest/aboutv2/free-tier-plans.html
When you sign up for your AWS account, you can choose between Free plan or Paid account plan. If you are new to AWS, you receive USD $100 in credits after you create an account regardless of your account plan. You can also earn up to an additional USD $100 in credits by completing activities. In addition, you have access to over 30 AWS services that offer monthly free usage limits.
You can check the credit applied to your AWS account from the URL below, so please check this screen to see if the $100 has been applied.

I have the same problem. I signed up for a new account in AWS yesterday, and when I checked the credits section in the console, the credits were not there

When you create a new AWS account, it's normal not to immediately see Free Tier services data in your billing section. This doesn't mean you don't have access to the Free Tier benefits.
To fully activate your AWS account and start benefiting from the Free Tier, you need to complete these important steps:
- Add a valid payment method to your account
- Verify your phone number
- Choose an AWS Support Plan
Your AWS Free Tier benefits begin on the date you activate your account (by completing the steps above), not on the date you initially created it. Simply creating an account and entering your account information is not sufficient for activation.
Once your account is fully activated, the Free Tier will be available to you. The Free Tier typically runs for 12 months after activation, giving you access to various AWS services either for free or at reduced costs, subject to usage limits.
Even after activation, it may take up to 24 hours for usage data to appear in the billing section. Additionally, Free Tier data typically only shows up once you've started using eligible services like EC2 or S3.
Regarding "free credits" - the AWS Free Tier provides usage within certain limits at no cost, but doesn't typically provide actual credits to your account. The Free Tier includes services that are free for 12 months, always free services, and short-term trials.
If you've completed all activation steps and still don't see Free Tier information after using some services, you might want to contact AWS Support for assistance.
