AWS Monitron Ethernet Gateway hung on 'connecting to internet' page

If your Amazon Monitron Ethernet gateway is stuck on the "connecting to internet" page during commissioning, here are several troubleshooting steps to try:

1. Check your network configuration:

• Verify that the Ethernet cable is properly connected to the gateway
• Confirm your network is functioning correctly
• Check with your IT administrator about any firewall settings that might be blocking the gateway's connection

2. Verify the gateway's LED status:

• A solid green light indicates the gateway is powered on
• A flashing orange light (slow) means the gateway is attempting to connect to the Ethernet network
• A flashing orange light (1 fast/1 slow) indicates the gateway is connected to the Ethernet network but is trying to connect to the Amazon Monitron backend system

3. Perform a proper factory reset:

• Unplug the Ethernet cable from the gateway
• Hold down the Config button
• Plug the Ethernet cable back into the gateway
• Release the Config button when the LED lights start slowly blinking, alternating orange and blue

4. For iOS devices:

• If you've previously paired with these gateways, make your device "forget" the gateway before attempting to re-pair

5. Ensure the gateway is in proper configuration mode:

• When in commissioning mode, the Bluetooth and Network LED lights should blink rapidly, alternating orange and blue
• If the LEDs show any other sequence, reset the gateway using the Reset button
