Hi
Could you check on the following?
- In your organization account if the child account is already a part of the organization -> https://us-east-1.console.aws.amazon.com/organizations/v2/home/accounts/invitations (Account status as ACCEPTED)
- Check if the child account is already a part of another organization or if the management account of another organization.
- Remove your account from its current organization -> https://docs.aws.amazon.com/organizations/latest/userguide/orgs_manage_accounts_remove.html#orgs_manage_accounts_leave-as-member
- Deleting the organization -> https://docs.aws.amazon.com/organizations/latest/userguide/orgs_manage_org_delete.html
- If this is a new account make sure the account signup is complete and the account is activated. According to AWS, some services can take up to 48 hours to fully activate.
Hope this helps to figure out whats happening.

I have the same issue. An organization has invited me and I received the invite per email. When I clicked the button in the email, I landed on the AWS console Invitations page, but there was no invite there to accept. What I checked:
- I am already a member of a "Root" organization that was created automatically and I cannot leave it. I'm not a member of anything else.
- I am in the right AWS account, the account email matches the one where the invite was sent.
- My account is not new, it is activated and I already used AWS services before.
Any idea how to fix this?
