Can not start CloudShell

1

This message aappeared when I try to use CloudShell.

Unable to start the environment. To retry, refresh the browser or restart by selecting Actions, Restart AWS CloudShell. System error: Environment was in state: CREATION_FAILED. Expected environment to be in state: RUNNING. To retry, refresh the browser or restart by selecting Actions, Restart AWS CloudShell.

I used the root regions account in us-east-2 region and tried the following steps:

  • Restart CloudShell from Action menu
  • Delete CloudShell Home directory
  • Got the same message when launching CloudShell from a fresh account as a root and also as a new user even with explicit permissions (by the way, policy simulator states ok withing CloudShell service). Did you got the solution?

  • I have this same problem. I've tried everything - different browsers, different systems, restarting CloudShell, deleting the CloudShell home directory, verified supported regions - and nothing has worked and I can't find any solution.

I see that you have used a root account and also followed the recommended steps. I recommend opening a support case with AWS support to resolve the issue. If you have a technical support plan, I recommend opening one under the technical support case. Also, when opening a support case, make sure to open it under the account you are having an issue. Also, state what you noted here in the post to share details of the issue.
